MAIN SITES OF INTEREST
Avdi Square

A public gathering place and a meeting point surrounded by cafes, galleries and theaters. The square was revamped in 2008 and it is now a social hub where several activities such as festivals and performances take place.

Akadimia Platonos

Also known as Plato’s academy, the school of philosophy founded by Plato, Akadimia Platonos is a neighborhood located 3 km northwest of Athens’ downtown. Today it is an open archeological park brimming with ancient heritage with scattered ancient ruins and the remains of Iera Oikia, the Holly House of Geometric times, the digital museum of Plato’s Academy as well as the old houses worth checking out on Platonos street.

National Archeological Museum

Founded in 1829, the National Archeological Museum is the largest museum in all of Greece housing some of the most significant artifacts and antiquities in the world such as the Gold death-mask of Agamemnon, the Bronze statue of Zeus, the marble statue of Poseidon, the marble statue of Kouros Kroisos and many more.

Archeological Site of Keramikos

Also known as the Necropolis of Athens, the archeological site of Keramikos is considered one of the most important architectural masterpieces in Athens that was chosen as a burial place by Athenians being one of the most sought-after resting places for upstanding citizens.
