The Acropolis

The Acropolis and the Parthenon are considered two of the most iconic monuments of the ancient civilization of Greece and the world. A visit to Athens is not considered complete without a visit to The Acropolis and the world-renowned Acropolis Museum. Dating back to the 5th century B.C. this ancient citadel is a pole of attraction for millions of tourists featuring many ancient statues, ionic columns, the temple of Athena Nike and Erechthion with the famous Karyatides statues.

Around the Acropolis

The area around the acropolis is oozing with history and culture with the Beulé Gate, the Propylaia, Ancient Agora, the Tower of the Winds, the Temple of Zeus and the Odeon of Herodes Atticus attracting the eye. Just a stroll around the ancient sites will take you on a journey back in time, a journey you may continue on the pedestrian street of Apostolou Pavlou or Dionyssiou Areopagitou leading to the historic district of Thiseion and the central square of Monastiraki.

National Garden & Zappeion

The National Garden is a beautiful public park behind the Greek parliament which used to be the garden of the Royal Palace created by Queen Amalia. The Zappeion can be considered a continuation of the National Garden, surrounding the Zappeion structure that was built exclusively for the Olympic Games.
